Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 2026
Overview
Sobr is designed with your privacy as the top priority. Your recovery journey is personal, and we keep it that way.
Data We Collect
When you create an account, we collect:
- Email address (for authentication only)
- Username and optional profile bio
- Community posts and comments you create
We do not collect:
- Location data
- Health or biometric data
- Usage analytics or crash reports
- Advertising identifiers
Data Storage
Your sobriety start date, journal entries, check-ins, goals, and reasons are stored locally on your device. This data is never transmitted to any server unless you explicitly use cloud-synced features.
Account Data
If you create an account, your email is used solely for authentication via Supabase. Your username, profile, and community posts are stored on our servers to enable social features.
Third-Party Services
Sobr does not integrate with advertising networks, analytics platforms, or data brokers. We use:
- Supabase — authentication and cloud data storage
- RevenueCat — subscription management (processes purchases through Apple)
Links to external resources (SAMHSA, AA) open in your browser and are not tracked by us.
Data Deletion
You can permanently delete all local data via Settings → Reset All Data. To delete your account and all cloud-synced data, use Settings → Delete Account. This action is immediate and irreversible.
Children's Privacy
Sobr is intended for users 17 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 17.
Changes to This Policy
If we update this policy, the new version will be available in the app and on this page.
